A good start!

I haven’t done any ethical clothes shopping since I last wrote about the disparity in my wardrobe between ethical brands and non-ethical.

Ok I’m fibbing. I did buy a long, knitted cardigan – I talked about those in my newsletter this month and felt the need to actualise!

It was a convenience buy, because I was hosting a special customer evening at the House of Fraser Store and afterwards, while waiting for my car, I realised there was an opportunity to fill the knitwear gap in my wardrobe.

But the good news is I’ve found a site called Bochica, which not only offers good clothes, but it does so at high street prices.

I was delighted to meet the creator of the site, who stopped me to talk about Bochica so I took a picture and that’s Emily Best in one of her best selling knitted tunics.
Price is the key surely to making the ethical purchase possible for more of us. And so I thought I’d pass on the steer.

I’ve already had a look just to make sure before I wrote about it, and there are details about each supplier featured on her site, so you can reassure yourself.

And there are some great designs. Check out the LBD for £38.000

But here’s a question for you…

Will you buy because it is ethical or do you prefer to prioritise good clothes? Do you ssek out clothes made as pat of a sustainable process?
This was a debate that was happening this morning as I attended a British Fashion Council meeting and I’d love to know your thoughts.

    Hi Caryn

It’s a shame that we still don’t have widely available ethical fashion on the high street… But we are at a stage where we now have really fab eco style online, so it’s becoming easier to be both ethical AND stylish!

Our eco-style mag StyleWillSaveUs.com is a case in point. Plus we’ve just launched an eco boutique with our cherry pickings of the most fabulous green style out there to make it even easier…..

    Check it out!
