I couldn’t give a stuff who’s on Richard Blackwell’s worst dressed list but it seems many members of the press could. Not because it carries any real merit, but it’s another chance to have a pop at a female celebrity isn’t it.
So Victoria Beckham gets it in the neck first when he say’s. “Forget the fashion spice, wearing a skirt would suffice. In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, Pouty Posh can really wreck’em,”
As I know how competitive Ms. Beckham is, it will please her that she is at least number one on his list, but where is the need for such vile misogyny from this glitter and twisted octogenarian?
Next in line is Mary Kate Olsen whom Prof Blackwell declares, “resembles a tattered toothpick trapped in a hurricane.” Others like Avril Lavigne, Jessica Simpson, Lindsey Lohan and Kelly Clarkson get a girl bashing too, but I really can’t be bothered to paraphrase.
So are we the jury really pursuing sartorial justice for the sake of fashion clarity. Or is he just an innocent critic, accidentally pandering to our need to have em stripped and whipped?
A friend of mine who works in publishing say’s the sales of magazines are always positive when the headlines promise coverage of celebrity meltdown, miscarriage and ill considered clothing choices.
They should get Richard in to hack them to death.
