Sorry about the cliché header – probably one of the most over used in footwear features there is, but I just couldn’t help myself readers! More about that later.

I’ve just agreed to work the Good Housekeeping panel to find this year’s best-dressed over forty plus woman. They are still looking for nominations; so consider it your duty to let me know who you think should be discussed this year.

Yes in magazine world my colleagues are already working on November, but the great thing about websites is that they are so direct, I can recommend styles to you and they are immediately on your laptop and available to buy!

So let’s talk about one of my favourite footwear companies who like us care about body shape. Just as we want you to feel good in your clothes choices by understanding what to buy to flatter your shape, Duo want to give you a range of width sizes for your feet.

It’s all marvellous, especially if you add to that, the fact that their shoes look good too. I was in the flagship store not so long ago, which is appropriately at the heart of the bespoke tailoring world in Saville Row London.

There I rather enjoyed a preview of the width fitting boots that will be available for autumn and there are some great on trend styles. Yes that’s how we spend out time on planet fashion – discussing winter clothing in summer and summer clothing in winter.

But back to now. I’ve featured a current summer style (Lizzie) which come in foot sizes 2 – 10 and with four width fittings. The width fittings also alter depending on the foot size but there are four widths for each shoe size and that means you are covered.

So if shoe-width issues have ever been yours then Duo may have a solution.
