One of my quick style fix recommendations this season has been lace-effect tights. Just add your favourite skirt to the mix and you are good to go.
I’m a fan of good looking legwear for a variety of reasons. In my Ageless Style ebook I discuss skirt lengths, and how far up the leg they can go once you have seen more than 40 summers. But a good pair of tights can really help your cause.
Now the humble, pantyhose has risen even further in my estimation, courtesy of Pretty Polly, who whipped up a media moment recently (14 October 2008) in London’s world famous Harley Street.
Sasha Parker – winner of ‘Coleen’s Real Women’ – led her leggy line-up of 15 scantily clad real women through the streets of London, wearing little else but their Secret Slimmer tights and flimsy red dresses, which soon came off in a well choreographed yank.
Grabbing their placards, these naughty minxes, then staged a pertinent protest against the expensive and risky cosmetic surgery that has become more commonplace in the last few years.
Placards featured protest messages including, “No Nip. Just Tuck”; “Cosmetic Surgery £10,000, Secret Slimmer’s £6.00”; “No Surgery Required”; “Don’t Suck it out, Suck it in”.
Shameless marketing but top marks ladies for sassy in-your-face style.

Fancy tights are definately a winning trend this season. I love the black lace tights and the coloured opaques. I think they look better with your clothes on!!! Take a look at my blog http://www.thefashionfixstyling.blogspot.com for my list of top 10 trends
