Underwear is a personal thing and those of you in possession of my Ageless Style e-book will know what my preference is when it comes to the G versus the VPL.
My bottom is a part of me I lavish. It is after all an important part of my flipside image. (That’s my body double opposite).
But not so, for many British women it seems.
In fact Andrex are working with psychologist and body image expert Judi James (more commonly known for her work on Big Brother and XFactor) and they are urging people in a campaign to ‘BE KIND TO YOUR BEHIND’.
“Women,” they say, “appear to be abusing and neglecting their bottoms,” and something must be done.
Yes, yes, I know a marketing angle when I’m sent one! But their research does show that a staggering 73% of us “hate our bottoms.” So keen are they to create some media interest (well loo paper needs new stories too) that they have tracked down a celebrity rumpologist.
And here’s the fashion angle – Kate Moss, ever the pathfinder has already had hers read. Hmm, don’t really buy that. Quite how it’s done, clearly defies description too because I didn’t get anything in the press release to make it sound appealing.
Anyway the above is really only a bit of titillation to get me into this next fashion tip and you knew that didn’t you?
If you aren’t a lover of the G try the new, high-tech knickers, creating no discernible outline bulge on even the most tight-fitting, slinkiest, curve-hugging dresses, because these have just become the fastest selling knicker style of all time.
Well so says fashion store Debenhams in another press release I was sent at almost the same time.
Are these two brands in cahoots I wonder?
Anyway the above store’s sales of their new Invisible Knickers have soared by an incredible 982 per cent since they were launched just a year ago – the fastest growth ever seen for a new range.
They use ground-breaking technology to bond elastic seamlessly into the waistline and legs, supporting the garment while eliminating any need for ridge-forming double hemming and stitching. And at just £4.00 per pair in a variety of colours I’m thinking you’d appreciate the steer!
