Swimsuit Workshop – are you big on top?

You know I like any reason to show a gorgeous woman with curves so here’s my latest… (reason that is).

Over the next few weeks I’m looking at swimsuits, swimming costumes and bikinis since I’m getting a few questions on the site.

And I’ve found a great range called Hoola specialising in glamourous and modern swimwear in D-G cup sizes. So let’s talk body shape and swimsuits combined.

Swimwear Workshop: Big on Top

You will need great shape and suport; underwired tops can work well and look great.

You may also feel you need to choose a two-piece to get the fit and that’s where companies like Bravissimo come in. They do great designs in larger cup sizes and Hoola have designed a range especially for them.

Halter-top bikinis can be a good choice by offering support, while providing some sexy cleavage too. Look for styles that have a strong band at the ribcage and will not ride up, then make sure there are ties to create fit and adjustment around the back and the neck. This style will give you some lift and is remarkable flattering as well as minimising.

Look for one-piece swimsuits with some structure in the bust, such as soft foam cups or a good a shelf bra. Straight cut bust styles such as a classic tank can look clean and sporty but be aware, they may make your body look square or bulky.

A scalloped or v-neckline will always be a more feminising neckline. Wide shoulder straps will also be much more comfortable and effective in minimising full shoulders than thin, spaghetti straps. Thin shoulder straps will also cut into your flesh, which is never a flattering look.

Think about print and pattern- you need big bold print designs to flatter and balance your body and you can use feminine touches like frills and bows to soften the styles you choose.

Hoola uses clever designs such as hidden underwiring and
covers unsightly features such as big back clasps, with pretty ties or bows.

Another balancing trick it to buy briefs with wide horizontal bands to widen your bottom half, or choose pants that come with a small frilled skirt.

And my final word on the subject?

Avoid tri tops that have no support and tiny briefs that make your top half look bigger by comparison. Now work that beach bag girlfriend!

I am a 36J so I always use Beau Dame lingerie for bra’s and swimwear as they always have my size in stock. I really struggled until recently finding nice swimwear in my size. I just bought an Amalfi Tankini
for my holidays, I’d definitely recommend to anyone with a bigger bosom.
