Yes backstage at a fashion show last week, I happened upon a rather marvellous male model. My life is full of handsome Adonis types and I don’t normally have my ‘photie’ taken with them!
I’ll make an exception for Paul though. He and I have worked together on several occasions and I’m here to tell you that he may be in an out of the gossip columns as Cameron Dion’s squeeze and formally Jennifer Aniston’s ‘bf,’ but he’s a lovely soul, he still thanks his dressers after a show and hasn’t forgotten his manners.
Thought you’d like to hear that because fashion types can come over as rather superficial sometimes and I like to let you know how it really is.
And speaking of how it really is, here I am wearing my latest Vivienne Westwood (Anglomania) acquisition. I will be showing you that in a few guises I expect, because I’ve got quite a few opportunities to appear on stage in the coming months.
I haven’t run it through all my accessory options yet (working a new item of clothing into your existing wardrobe is something I talk about in my body shape e-books). Personally I like to get a new garment thoroughly bedded in, then I know what my options are when I am getting dressed.
The print on this dress caught my eye for its drama and boldness and may be all I need to make a statement (black tights and shoes then rather than my usual colourful array).
I don’t know about you, but I’ve noticed that there are some prints I really can’t do because the grey in my hair doesn’t work well with them.
What do I mean by that? Well soft pink girly ones make me look like mad Auntie Barbara. As I’m a print fan, I make it my business to choose the right balance of print. I don’t do ditzy prints either. In fact when I look at my rail in my bedroom I have a definite print personality.
Mmmm I’m thinking a print feature could run and run, stay tuned for a look the favourite prints in my wardrobe.
