With only one posted blog last week and one this week (late) I’m shocked at my lack of application. It’ll be down to the flu and my complete inability to get out of bed and stay upright.
With most things cancelled and me wearing pyjamas that do not stand the scrutiny of a camera for my ‘This week I am mostly wearing….’ feature, I thought I’d remind myself that my glamourous alter ego will return soon and resume normal service!
Scrolling through my online album I found a pic of me and my mates: Gok Wan, from Channel 4’s How to Look Good Naked and Mark Heyes ITV’s GMTV. Here we are backstage waiting to go on to make our presentations at Graduate Fashion Week caught in the middle of a heated discussion about raglan sleeves and complicated fastenings!
Yes we’re all good friends and in this pic I’m feeling like the Grand old Dame of Fashion (A title I rather warm to). Gok was sweet enough to tell Jonathon Ross when he appeared on his late night show, that I had inspired him to get into fashion when he was a youngster watching the Clothes show (must thank him).
Still at this very moment I’m feeling neither grand, Dame-like or remotely fashionable, that just leaves old. Perhaps I should read my own newly updated ageless style e-book
P.S. I never got to post this because after finding a nice pink Pashmina to go with my pink tartan pj’s, I had to go an have another lie down.
P.P.S. I’m Actually at National Wedding Show, now hosting three shows a day and the sound team are placing bets as to whether my voice will last the day out!
