Well earlier in the week I was in my gladrags for Good Housekeeping shoot, I thought I looked marvellous. I was wearing the highest pair of heels I own.
I call them my ‘limousine shoes,’ because they demand that I am driven wherever I need to go! Walking any kind of distance would be out of the question and quite possibly very uncomfortable.
Yesterday by complete contrast I was in a very functional coat and trousers as I had to get to Paris at the crack. Actually it was such a rush (left the house at 6am) that I threw on warm stuff and left it at that.
I was comfortable all right until, upon being invited to lunch by elder statesman of style Azzedine Alaia, I found myself wishing I had made a bit more effort.
Today I was giving a presentation to opticians to help them advise customers on their face shape and the most flattering glasses to choose.
So here I am photographed just before lift off in my easy to wear black knitted dress and Miss Selfridge feature belt.
The shoes are from a fantastic boutique I bang on about called Sniff in Gt. Tichfiield Street and I can’t tell you how comfortable I feel.
Got it just right today then!
