How is your autumn shoppping going? And have you got your winter style underway?
Latest research reveals women prefer shopping to dating which is disconcerting as finding the perfect dress to flatter your shape (because you understand how to shop for your shape) can’t be nearly as important as finding the perfect (or as near as it is reasonably possible – human foibles apart) mate!
But perhaps I’m old school on that one. However I do like to get my autumn look sorted and my transseasonal clothes stored away so that I can free up some wadrobe space.
I can say, having trialled this pin tuck tunic dress by Almost Famous (they have a handy store right next to my hairdresser Charles Worthington) that this is quite possibly as near as I will find to perfection. Not that I’m an obsessive compulsive or anything like that!
It ticks all the boxes for me in being slick, solid colour and NOT BLACK! And those pin tucks running the length of the dress create a streamlining effect, are good for giving middle age bodies a much more toned look through the tummy. It’s selling in black too at under £100 (but I will be avoiding that as I have more black in my wadrobe than a vampire groupie.)
Perfect then for my black Georgina Goodman over the knee boots, which are now looking forward to their second winter, but I’m pretty sure she has repeated her marvellous deisgn that makes your legs look longer because of a concealed heel.
I do look a tad serious (captured just before a big meeting on ethical fashion) so I have also included a pic of me taken last week wearing the dress of an up and coming designer Georgia Hardinge, where I’m looking delighted and not all ‘Capricornian,’ as I am wont to do.

This is me collecting my ‘Ultimate Woman,’ award on behalf of the All Walks campaign, wearing my lucky shoes and showing lots of dentistry.
