This is the time of year when there are loads of sales. I of course shall be fitting in a quick visit to the Vivienne Westwood shop for a bit of cut-price Red Label.

But there are other interesting ways to shop I see.

The ‘Buy My Wardrobe,’ event where fashionistas recycle their stylish designer wardrobes is just around the corner too on Jan 31st

And of course our dear high street is leaking bargains everywhere so keen are they to clear out the winter stock and get the summer in.

But let me take this moment to caution you, with a confession. I too have done the the sales and rather over spent having been surrounded with cheap designer confectionary that is so easy to splash out on.

Then got it home only to find that it didn’t fit the bill after all.

Re read your body shape e-books ladies and remind yourself why it is that you are shopping and what you are shopping for. And while you are there read my crucial recommendations for shopping in the sales in the first place

Or why not completely ring the changes and get some cash out of your clothes instead. Yes due to popular demand B.M.W. are adding a few communal rails for those of you who have the odd designer item you would like to sell on the day, and you are invited to submit good quality desirable designer items.
