Closet Clutter

My resolutions didn’t involve anything fashion or clothes oriented but judging by this picture perhaps they should.

Yes, my wardrobe needs a bit of a sort through doesn’t it? I do share the space as you can see and sometimes we squabble over wooden hangars. (Those of you who already have a bodyshape book know why I am not a fan of metal ones). The thing is none of us have as much space as we like to store all our clothes not even style gurus!

However, I’m flagging up the New Year as a way to instigate a fresh approach to your wardrobe and your image.

Clearing out your wardrobe is something I also talk about in my bodyshape e-books because I believe that without an organised wardrobe, you cannot create a well-styled look.

I can see I need to invest a bit of time in mine in the next few weeks to rid myself of closet clutter and perhaps you do too.

Try this quick test:

Imagine you are lending your whole wardrobe to a stylish girlfriend for a week.  Before you do this, have a quick sort through and pull out the garments that are worn or have seen better days.

Now donate them because if they aren’t good enough for your imaginary girlfriend, then they certainly aren’t good enough for you.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year. A great way to start the New Year, clearing out your wardrobe ready for the transitional Spring/Summer clothes. It is a also a great idea when it is SO cold outside and you can spend the day indoors, with a good excuse!!!
