Four inches is plenty

Unbelievably I still can’s seem to find another person to catalogue my outfits as I leave the house. And I am loving myself in the Harem pants, so more about those very soon and of course how to pick the right looks to flatter your shape.

The thing is I’ve got a lot of power meetings at the moment so I’m out early before anyone at home can get it together to catch me in full digital glory.

(My two main photographers as you know are my daughters and one of them has GCSE’s so is cramming for England and can’t be concerned with my petty reportage requests, the other is still choking back her Rice Krispies as I leave and not interested.)

I’m starting to worry that I’m not sticking to my word by reporting too late, my summer wardrobe purchases. So here’s a still life of some shoe confectionary I acquired yesterday.

Red satin and from Carvella (concessions in House of Fraser) these puppies are coming with me to a do tomorrow in Birmingham where I will host a catwalk show at Harvey Nichols. I did try some mainline Kurt Geiger designs at £140 but they did not deliver any extra thrill factor for the price. On, these are comfy as slippers and light as a feather and £85. They also supply a hit of colour that brings one of my Vivienne dresses in orange bang up to the moment.

Keen footwear observers will note my dogged avoidance of the platform skyscraper. Call it a frivolous determination not to injure myself, these 4 inch elevations are plenty enough for me. Yes very definitely a ‘limousine or stage shoe,’ these will only be coming out to play at relatively short functions. Comfort is after all everything and I’m in flats as I write this bet you are too.
