The other day was a radio day. I love these because I don’t have to get dressed up or put on a face!
My voice is the only thing that counts and it is lovely to sit in a room with tea and Kit Kats on tap, and chat.
There were a dozen radio stations to link up with, so it took until lunchtime to get through everyone. I work with a technical engineer in an edit suite who patches me through to each DJ.
I was talking about the make-overs I had done as part of the Vodafone prize recently. (They were promoting their new Netbook as a time saving device but needed a less blatant angle to talk about it…enter Caryn with chirpy “I’ll help you save time and look good too tips”)!
Yes I know in such a consumerist society we all know how to shop surely? Even my 9-year old can empty the contents of her purse effortlessly on a Brent Cross Shopping spree.
Yes freestyle browsing and impulse purchasing is a national past time, but I’m not talking about that.
More the ‘targeted acquisition,’ and if you have ever set out to buy an item of clothing for a special occasion or perhaps an interview and come home from the store empty handed and fed up, then maybe you do need a few how to shop tips.
Of course I talk about this in great depth in Ageless Style, where I give you a workshop on image if you are over 40. Those of you who were listening in to my live link ups will already have a headstart on why you should never fall in love with an item of clothing on the hangar.
Those of you who didn’t catch me and are interested in ctting down your strees levels and upping your personal glamour factor, can read for yourself when you down load my Ageless Style book.
