Have you made your New Years Resolution?
I love the beginning of the year for starting afresh and I love the feeling of re-inventing myself don’t you?. Come January 1st I was on it, in a start-as-you-mean-to-go-on-way, as my resolution is to buy more ethical. Think I said that this time last year.
Anyway, I’m loving my vintage mohair knit – call it a coatigan if you like, vintage fashion outlets are great fro personality knitwear (the last post explains all about the latest winter trend of coatigans for those of you who have just joined us!) Trends aside, it’s very chilly here in Kensal Green and, on a mission to add a bit more warmth to my wardrobe, whilst this year adding more ethical purchases to the mix, I stumbled across this and couldn’t believe my luck.
I was in East London’s Brick Lane and took both daughters to sample the true delights of vintage shopping in Rokit where I got this marvellous knit for £10.00…I know, good price or what? Absolute Vintage was another retro superstore, where I was pipped at the post for a classic leather satchel bag, which was great quality at just £25.00. I shouldn’t have put it back down to have a think about it should I!
Ahhh the rummage factor is more fun than any waltz through an immaculate rail of newly unpacked ’sales items’ from China, doncha think?
Anyway I’m in my office this week negating the need for power dressing until next week when I step out to a variety of meetings, in full, recycled suiting, but you’ll have to wait for the picture to see what I mean.
