And on the subject of realistically achievable images. My latest press pictures see here, have no post production on the face, hair or body.
Why did I feel it necessary to leave stray hairs and skin, emboldened by the passing of time, UNPROCESSED?
Because having worked on All Walks for the last two years and being as involved as I am in the Lib Dem Body Confidence campaign – so much so I almost misplaced my fashion day job completely what with all the visits to the House of Commons – I am willing change proactively, not just by professional initiatives but also my personal actions.
So here I am gloriously middle aged in my up-cyled tailoring by Junky Styling and my militantly grey hair…loving it.
Of course that’s not to say my marvelous photographer Chris Floyd didn’t employ a little old fashioned technique for those of you interested in your photography history. He confirms… “Nothing retouched at all. Just old fashioned lighting and digital equivalent of traditional darkroom techniques (colour, tone, contrast and density/brightness).”
Aging naturally is practically a political statement in itself.

you look absolutely gorgeous- love 2nd photo, so natural. i applaud you for your values in NOT being airbrushed or touched up! I, too, am trying to promote what you are talking about – its very difficult but I am determined. I would love to join you on your campaign & be involved- how can I do that please? best wishes
p.s do you know/ heard of Lucy Siegle? her new book is riveting -its called To Die for – is fashion wearing out the world.

I remember watching you on t.v. many years ago. For someone now of the age of fifty I am thrilled to hear of the work you are tirelessly continuing to do regarding size, age and confidence of women and how they are perceived/expected to look. These photographs are quite beautiful. You are blessed with lovely bone structure but what is evident is the confidence you have and the happiness with yourself. Something we all so desire. Keep up the marvellous aims and let us all, men and women, provide support.

Wow – you look stunning and so naturally beautiful! This is something we women should all think about… being natural. And of course a great photographer helps!
