Clothes that have been put together with some understanding of what older women need from design is well…the way forward. It’s what I’ve been talking about  to young designers at college for a while now. Empathy from the designer is everything.

At last week’s launch, Isme’s Jackie Lewis – Head of Technology, confirmed that they work with specially sculpted bust stands to get the fit just right . So far so good. Their recent cool and classy shoot channeling  Bianca Jagger to promote the new A/W collection, hit’s the mark too.

And here comes something rather interesting. Isme will soon release the results of market research to flag up the ability of clothes to knock years off the wearer. All down to the styling and choice of garments we understand. But how to recognise the most flattering looks?
