I have a size 8-10 figure and am 5 foot 7 inches. But I have short legs that make me very self conscious. I can’t wear skinny jeans or tight dresses without feeling that I look a bit freakish. As well as a horizontal bodyshape we also have a vertical one which is the length of your legs in relation to your torso. You can move your waistline to visually alter these proportions. As you are longer waisted you should aim for shorter tops with a long line bottom half. Try trousers and skirts with a higher waistline and tuck your tops in. An empire line dress will also raise your waistline. A maxi dress in this style will give a long lean silhouette.
