This is what I spend many a weekend doing!
Yes a bride make-over is great fun at the National Wedding Show. Jane and I are on stage with Becks our bride who we plucked out of the audience in jeans and t-shirt and completely transformed in a few minutes.
Of course it takes a huge team to something like this and there are loads of us bsck stage all rushing around to make it happen but the magic is on the face of the bride when she sees herself at the mirror for the first time.
I’m writing this with show music blaring in my ears and catwalk brides rushing past to get on stage. I guess its the season…
Come and have a look on Facebook, where I will post a more of the pictures… we did some amazing women.

I’m very pleased about all the positive press Chrystal Renn is receiving, having modeled in a London Fashion Week Show this weekend.
I had thought I would be blogging on a regular basis, but the All Walks campaign which we staged this season at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout took a lot of time. We were canvasing opinion from the industry itself and next season will go back to our format of working with 8 designers to create 8 great images of women of different shapes and sizes.

Still I did manage to take a quick peek round and met David Koma who worked with us last season on All Walks…I’m giving you a heads up because he is going to be a name you will definitely hear more of.
These dresses are lighter than they look to wear…I tried the jacket on…the zip features are actually made as jewelery and are specially crafted for his dresses.

We have a lot of talent in London and some great ideas. All Walks being one of them!

I don’t often write about beauty products but I love a contrast and this morning I took delivery of some organic skin care to try out, then blow me down, I read that I should have been putting something far more creepy on my skin…like snake serum?
Rodial’s Glamoxy Snake Serum is the product and Syn-Ake, the active ingredient which claims to freeze your muscles just like the venom of a South-East Asian Temple Viper.
Of course there are all kind of claims about its efficacy, and all the celebs using it but puuuurlease they would have been given a free bottle to try just like me and my cammomile and rose spritze.
In these situations I like to ask my favourite question. And I think I know the answer.
Still that’s beauty marketing for you… you think the smooth skin of Victoria, Nicole, Cheryl and team is down to honest to goodness snake gunk when in fact it is really the marvels of digital manipulation.
Lib Dem MP Jo Swinson has got a bone to pick with this very issue and has tabled a think tank to address new policy around the lack of transparency. Now that has my full attention!
I’ll keep you posted!

This is a NOW kind of moment and I’m putting this in front of you for consideration.
A cowl-neck jumpsuit at a ‘go-on-take-a-risk-it’s-only-£15-for-god-sake!
Having just bought a Fair Trade Inca Ocarina whistle from E-bay yesterday for my youngest and with tonight’s event on recycled clothing at the V&A booked, I’m feeling we have gathered enough credits today, to plug into a fast fashion fix from Tesco (although this will see you right through this year, so it’s slow enough.
Anyway how long it stays in your wardrobe is down to you, as is how you accessorise it….Fine knit polo neck tops now with ankle boots, then flats and bare arms in summer…
Falling in line with my need for intelligent dressing, I know this easy to wear garment will cover rounded tummies with ease and it’s yours at the click of a button!
Currently sizes 8-16…Go on have a go.

I am so loving this picture for a huge variety of reasons and wanted to share.
Isn’t she a tonic?
I’m feeling of course that All Walks Beyond the Catwalk my own campaign has sparked a certain attitude…but here’s to V Magazine for picking up the mantle.
The Independent, The Times and others picked up on this, and I hope this type of picture becomes a more frequent thing.
Speaking to body image experts recently and hearing the sad statistics around the way young women feel about their bodies I can only hope other magazines will get on board. It’s being talked about as a trend but we need image makers to make this a format that is repeated time and time again. I hope that V magazine don’t make this into a one off headline grabbing trick!
What say you?
