Bridal – Glamorous wedding dresses

With women who want the perfect red carpet wedding, choosing from so many glamorous wedding gowns to suit your body shape, theme and venue can be difficult.

Designers Below you will see all the beautiful and glamorous bridal gowns that embody both style and comfort. With more ceremonies taking place at evening venues and with the influence of red carpet dressing on bridal wear, this next section shows a style of dress that has that glamorous edge:

glamorous dress

This dress tells an alluring and romantic story. It’s glamour taken down a notch with soft frothy tiered organza. Soft glamour, yet still dramatic, the column shape is an option for those wanting a more modern, sexier appeal.  The organza layers gently ripple and unfurl out over hips creating width for tall shapes, the illusion of curves and a waist for standard shapes and the detailing on the bodice creating elongation for petite shapes. www.bhs.co.uk.

For sultry sirens who prefer something a little slinkier then this silhouette skimming dress offers some slouchy sex appeal. The halter neckline adds a seductive edge and yet can work for those with broad shoulders, small bust and the beading detail helps to create the illusion of height and elongate for those more petite brides.  For standard shapes the satin will skim over your body, highlighting your features perfectly and the embellishment will add femininity. Key tip body smoothing underwear is sometimes needed with a slinky dress like this. www.margotraybouldbrides.co.uk.

This is glamour with an ethereal dose of elegance. The clean, simple lines are chic, feminine and very beautiful. The hand-beaded overlay is the head turning detail which also provides a subtle and sexy smokescreen for those with small busts or wishing to cover up their chest/collarbone area. For petite and slender brides the bust detail will draw those adoring eyes upwards creating the illusion of height and curvaceousness.

It’s your big day so when is there a better time to indulge in some unadulterated girliness with a big bow of glamour on the side.  This mermaid style dress is seriously sexy, creating curves where they don’t exist or perfectly accenting those that do and the black bow adds a pretty but not saccharine edge. The bow also draws the eye away from the long line for those of you are who taller brides. www.anoushkag.com.

To ensure that you look and feel beautiful on your big day, it’s not just about glamorous wedding dresses. You also need sophisticated make up and hairstyle to complete your look. Here are some of my tips on how to look good:

  • Always have a practice run before the big day, especially if you’re using a hairdresser and make up artist

  • Have your hair dressed as early as possible to let your skin recover from the heat of the hair dryer or tongs.

  • Don’t forget to pay attention to your ears if you’re putting your hair up. A small dab of foundation on lobes will make a big difference.

  • Statement jewellery with an evening gala theme will easily compliment this style of dress.

  • Be aware that beaded gowns are heavy and potentially tiring. Wear your intended dress in the changing room for longer than usual to check how it feels before you commit.
