High street trend 80′s Fashion
If you want to have fun with fashion this season channel the 1980s. From the early part of the decade’s New Romantics, to punky leather, and Dynasty glam – this is the catwalk fashion trend the high street loves for autumn/winter 09.

Leather
Mango’s leather skirt has the perfect proportions. Flatteringly high-waisted and hitting just on the knee it will suit any shape. For the ultimate 80′s fashion look, team with ankle boots and a studded leather piece – like Mango’s leather studded scarf, or a jumbo studded leather cuff.

New Romantics
Hobbs has had a revamp for autumn/winter 09. The high street label has been brought right up to date for the Noughties by a new design team who have modernized the label whilst retaining its British heritage. Hobbs was part of the New Romantics look the first time around, and has done it perfectly for 2009 now too. Cue a nod to D&G’s pirate shirt, in slightly more wearable proportions, teamed with a long line waistcoat and black trousers, making it smart enough for the office, and sexy enough to go straight out to drinks in.

Dynasty
Channeling Alexis Colby this holiday season is all about having fun with fashion – and we love this puffy cocktail dress from Primark. The one shoulder fashion trend is not going anywhere, nor is monochrome fashion and this piece has both, plus a huge dose of 80s wit. And, because it’s designed to look like a top tucked in to skirt, this dress cinches in just the right place – the smallest part of the waist – creating the ultimate feminine shape.

Sequin Blazer
Everyone should have something sequined for autumn/winter 09, and the sequin blazer is the most versatile investment.
Wear it with everything from jeans and a white t-shirt to over a black cocktail dress. Or just like Evans have expertly styled it – with a sleek pair of pants.
This will ensure your sequin piece (and your fashion credentials) really shine.
