As a frequent traveller in my Clothes Show days, I had to take far too much clothing to accommodate my on screen appearances (nobody wants to see you in the same outfit twice)!

Now that I have more chance to travel for fun I have fine-tuned my packing right down. Below are my best tips for a small case.

• Always take a cloth bag to travel your shoes. Then you can tuck your shoes in any space with out worrying about dirtying your clothes. The bag can also hold a small jewellery case and any other loose items

• Take only your favourite skin cream and perfume, buy all other toiletries including sun block cheaply in the local store and then leave them there for the cleaner!

• Colour and patterned clothes will have several lives; anything white, or pastel looks jaded after one wear.

• Take the least amount of bottoms in dark colours – jeans and khaki cropped shorts then take lots of different tops, which will roll up small.

• One flesh coloured bra with a multiway function will cover you for everything.

• Scarves, thin cotton sarong type scarves in a plain colour (nothing too beachy) are great for tops, hippy headwear, and wraps on cooler nights and they fold or roll into nothing.
