Here at How to Look Good our usual watch words are buy it at
a price that suits your pocket and wear it to death. Skirts with
print and appliqué are very popular this season and more
expensive, but if you apply a cost per wear factor to a skirt with
the knowledge that you’ll wear it around one hundred times
then the price really starts to diminish. Shapes will have changed
somewhat by next summer, but I have skirts bought last season that
I am rejuvenating this summer with mirrored, ethnic and traveller
styling references.

shapes. The styling here is confident with a complimentary small
print top. It takes flair to team different prints together and

Love this print and it gets my star for best value of
the lot. This is a great style for a range of body shapes
and when worn with a black top as shown creates the illusion of
a trim waist. For petites the lengthening effect of the black on
the top of the body through the waist and thighs, creates elongation.
Add a bright red corsage to the shoulder to draw the eye upwards,
for tall bodies work with the colour and print at the bottom of
the body and add contrasting black and white shoes to draw the eye
to the lower half of the body.

Additions
This multi coloured poppy skirt is a good example of a large print
and works perfectly for standard and curvy bodies. Flared skirts
are also a great choice for pear shapes since they camouflage the
shape of your hips underneath. Worn with bright or dominant colour
on the top of the body this creates a balance. Worn with a muted
colour, the patterned skirt becomes the dominant focus.

This is a style that has this summer’s hippy traveller fused
with the floral print themes that are so popular. The length of
this skirt creates a long lean silhouette and is most flattering
if you are standard height. Use T-shirts and waistcoats teamed with
espadrilles to give it the catwalk edge it needs.

print choices we’ve featured the turquoise clematis. This
is a medium sized print with a flattering design that creates a
vertical through the length of the body.
