These lovely comments refer to our Body Shape advice and Ageless Style advice…both books are yours with our compliments…why not send this to a friend by using the Twitter and Facebook buttons on the right.

The Ageless Style feature on your site has been truly inspirational. Thank you so much for your great attitude and relentless effort towards changing set views about how an older woman should look.

With gratitude and best wishes. Agata

Hi Caryn,
I had previously written to you when I first discovered you and your website and downloaded the book on Ageless Style.
After suffering through the recent hurricane here in the NYC (Hurricane Sandy) and doing without the basics of electricity, no water, limited food and no transportation for days, the power came on a couple of days ago.  I began reading your E-book again to unwind and relax and was again amazed by the wisdom and empowerment found on each page.  Thank you for being so generous with your knowledge of how we can age beautifully and best of all happily.

If you ever come to tour NYC, I would love to be in the audience so please let me know.

Best regards, Rebecca

Ms. Franklin,

First of all, I absolutely love your ebook!  My daughter and I have been pouring over it for the last week.  My daughter is nineteen years old and standard curvy, I am not.  Because our body types are so different, (and frankly, because I am her mom), it has been hard for me to convince her that some “popular” teen trends don’t work for her body type, (i.e. short shorts, short tops, skinny jeans without appropriate longish tops).  I work hard to be delicate and have tried to ignore her choices, but it has been a struggle. Your book has been ideal, providing much needed guidance and in no way passes judgment on her not being “slender.”

Thank you again, Heather Phillips

Dear Caryn,

Just had to send you a quick message to say thanks for the ebooks on  bodyshape and styling.I am a fifty year old woman who strives to look good.

I found your advice easy to follow and it gave me confidence to try one or two new ideas, we all change in body shape as we mature don’t we. It is good to go  back to the beginning and take a fresh look at oneself. As you say, fashion changes all of  the time but we have to appreciate what we have underneath our clothes and create the best  possible framework to hang the clothes on. So,thanks again, you are doing a great job!!!

Kind regards, Kay

Dear Caryn,

I want to offer my thanks, I found the “How To Look Good, Standard Curvy” ebook an immense help in beginning an overhaul of my wardrobe.

You can absolutely use my comments, I fully recommend the book. Its really helped me understand the world beyond t-shirts & jeans. I used to feel out of place in a department store, especially high-end shops where I look entirely out of place from the start. But now, I can at least talk-the-talk and have an idea of what I am looking for when I try things on.

Thanks, Anie

Caryn, I just had to write…

Your e-book has changed my life.  My hubby watched the Superbowl; I was engrossed in your e-book, soaking up every word as though I had just awakened as a woman!  I live in the USA and searched so many websites for some of the clothing I wanted to try out.  I found that Macy’s had the absolute best selection, styles in my size, and I ordered a few tops and a pair of jeans.   I LOVED them!!!!!  For the first time in my life, I can put on something that actually looks like it was tailored for me.  No more “muffin top rolls” no more down-to-my-knees shirts, and thank God, no more baggy pants!!!!  THANK YOU, Caryn.  Thank you.  I wore one outfil (it was a layered top with ruffles (who would have thought I could pull that off????) with my jeans (Levi’s perfect waist, petite); and I had so many compliments from friends and co-workers that I was dizzy!  Most of all, I felt good, because I knew I looked coordinated and well-dressed.  The money I’ve spent on clothes…..well, now my focus is on a few choice pieces, to add to my basic wardrobe.  I also enjoy the newsletter.

 Sincerely, Bev

Hi Caryn,

I used to try on tons of clothes before finding “the one.”  And “the one” most of the time ended up in my closet for years.  Yesterday I read your book (I’m petite apple) and shopped with it, and ended up with better odds (brought home about 12 things and 6 things fit!).  My wallet might be groaning but I’m super excited about this newfound knowledge about clothing. Big thank you!

Tyna

Hi there,

Thank you for having the “dressing for your shape” e-books available. Those are a great asset, and helped me quite a bit to go from just picking out what I think looks good as clothes, to picking out clothes that look good for me and my shape. It definitely changed the way I think about my wardrobe.

Chris

Hi Caryn!

I read your entire style book for curvy women and it was awesome!  Thanks for sharing that, it was very helpful.

Komal

Hey Caryn

I’m just taking a look at the ‘apple-shape’ which I think is me and you ‘read’ spot on with stuff I know works plus extra stuff I didn’t know.

This is brilliant stuff, Caryn – I’ll be recommending this reading matter to lots of people. Thank you very very VERY much.

LS

Dear Caryn

Firstly just wanted to say THANKYOU for the free ebook on petite dressing tips-so fantastic and so much useful information. I am currently undergoing massive changes to my style and image so this has been invaluable.

Janet

Dear Caryn,

I was delighted to read your book How to look good-Fuller and Pear. I am from Mumbai,India.I have always hidden myself in traditional Indian outfits to cover up my figure. When it comes to wearing western outfits I used to become really concious. But since I have to face the world i had to change my appearance.Your book was not only about what to wear or how to wear but it was an inspiration.

I read each page carefully and understood the mistakes I have been doing. I never knew it was so simple to look good. I don’t have words to express my gratitude. I would like to know what is smart casuals? Thank you.

Anupama

Dear Caryn,

I’ve just downloaded two of your e-books (Ageless Style and Standard/Curvaceous), as well as subscribed to your newsletter. I’ve had a quick look at both books and I am very pleased that I with them, they are going to be very useful to me, thank you. I also really like the holistic values underpinning your approach to style and femininity, as well as your writing style – warm, friendly, non-patronising, and honest. It’s immensely refreshing.

Eva

Many people have tried to change my look at fashion with no success but my time for you has definitely opened my eyes! Your down to earth, friendly approach has been refreshing and also the best thing ever!

Marianne, x

Dear Caryn
I have now had the chance to read through 40+, and WOW it’s just what I wanted to know. It reflects the confidence I already feel, but adds valuable and superb tools for taking it on to another level. I knew in theory how to dress (but practice lagged behind), now Caryn’s tools have given me direction and a holistic view, which I haven’t had for a while. And thank you, THANK YOU for valuing grey and silver hair. It can be such a big style and confidence statement for sophisticated women when handled well. Hoorah for common sense and vision together. I love this e-book. Thank you!

Gina

I downloaded your Fuller and Curvy ebook a couple of days ago, it made interesting reading, but I wasn’t sure I had learned anything new!!  However I took on some key points and today went shopping.  I have to say I had learned much more than I had realised, the visual images in the guide were easy for me to remember.  I have a good bust, so focused on that and stopped trying to hide my tummy (it’s there get over it!!)  In the end I bought something I would never have looked twice at, it even has a belt, but it looks amazing and I feel fabulous. I went with my 19 year old daughter and the look in her eye confirmed I looked great!! So sorry I was sceptical – I will be recommending your books to everyone!

Tracy

Hello,
I received my e book last week and have been reading and rereading ever since. I found it really good and have been looking at my wardrobe anew and mixing things I never would have thought would go together or be flattering. My friend and I went to a store and tried on clothes we would have never picked up before I read your book. Some worked for us and a few we weren’t comfortable with. Also I took on board about the primary colours (I had a lot) and will be studying them with a more critical eye and weed a lot out. The most interesting thing for myself was the coat section, I have an assortment of jackets and coats and now know I can be more confident with just certain styles and shapes in future. Thank you so much for letting me read the book, I have copied a couple off for friends and it’s been a talking point for us. Quite a few of us are new mums and have found a change in our bodies from slight to quite drastic and I was starting to think I was dressing perhaps a tad young although I’m only 25 but I now feel a lot more reassured. Once again many thanks to you all.
Yours,

Jenna.

Your Ageless Style book should be handed out on the NHS, instead of pills and HRT. It’s a real tonic for anyone 40+ who’s struggling to maintain dignity and pride, in this youth/thin obsessed society. I really applaud your stance on beauty, Caryn, really intelligent writing and really helpful tips. Your insight into shopping and emotions on was brilliant. Recommended reading!

Lisa

Hello Caryn and crew!
Just downloaded your ebook. petite and pear shaped, and realised that there IS a wardrobe that will suit me!!

I’m a working Mum (fast approaching 40!), and don’t get time to shop and as a result have got myself into a rut, and half, ok pretty much all my clothes aren’t right for me.

Thank you for all the tips, and especially the drawings, everything is so clearly explained, i’m looking forward to dressing right for my shape for once.

I’m very grateful, keep up the good work.

Tina

Dear Caryn,
…thank you also for your very helpful and practical e-book. It’s the only one I know of with exclusively the right advice for women of my particular shape, and I found it a valuable source of inspiration. I just wish it had been around when I was sixteen. What a lot of heartache (at not being the ‘right shape’) and shopping headaches I would have avoided, not to mention how much money I could have saved! I’ve told all my girlfriends about your site. They are equally enthusiastic.

Aimée

Good morning,
I just wanted to let you know how absolutely wonderful your e-book has been for me. Until I read it last week I would stand in front of a wardrobe that consisted of primarily black and white, and still be confused about what I should wear. Always feeling out of shape, completely uncomfortable with no confidence at all in my appearance.

The following day we went out to dinner, and might I say I looked and felt great. I had 3 comments on how great I was looking. It was all clothing from my existing wardrobe, put together with your rules and it looked great.

I have had my colours and style done before, however no one has ever provided an action plan (what a brilliant idea, particularly the collage). And the cost to have them come into your home and assist is quite expensive.

I cannot thank you enough, you truly are the Queen of Style.

Jacqueline

Dear Caryn,
…Shopping for clothes is going to be a lot more fun now that I can quickly identify what will and will not work with my body.

Thank You.

Susan

Hi Caryn,
Just a quick note to thank you for your help. I downloaded your fuller pear shaped e-book and in just a couple of weeks, I have received so many compliments. The best, being a neighbour who usually says hello to me, but the other day she stopped me to say how much my image has changed recently, and how good I look.

I couldn’t have done it without your help. Thank you so very much.

Roz

Thank you for your advice Caryn, I have recently downloaded the e-book standard and slender, which I found really useful. I rearranged my wardrobe and went shopping the day I got it. I found lots of good autumn buys and actually felt confident about what I was searching for, which makes a refreshing change!

With thanks to you and Jane,
Kind Regards,

Katy

I recently came across your web-site and I felt compelled to write to you. I really like the information you provided, it was very helpful. Your site is by far one of my favourite online resource guides pertaining to fashion. Thank you for all the hard work.

Mia

Hi, I read the e-book yesterday in its entirety and found it to be very helpful. I’m always interested in developing my own personal style and your book contained practical information not always included in other books.
All the best,

Karin

Hi,
Whilst I’m giving feedback, I’ve read the e-book and found it really helpful. It helped me recognise where I’ve gone wrong in the past and has inspired me to have a clear out.

I also really liked the virtual shopping mall – much easier to have all the petite shops listed in one place than trying to Google them.
Best wishes,

Julia

Dear Caryn
I have just read your “Ageless Style” and “Petite Slender” ebooks and have enjoyed them very much. Thank you for the useful, unbiased and down-to earth information. The coming year will see a different me!
My best wishes and regards

Agata

Hi Caryn,
Simply had to put pen to paper, so-to-speak.

Just read the first 15 pages of your e-book and it addresses my central concern – large and square shoulders. Your diagrams and short to-the-point good for or bad for remarks are just what I require. Great, I now know what best suits my top half and this will make such a difference to my shopping and confidence.

Many, many thanks. My 4 year search for advice is over.
Kind regards,

Trixie

Dear Caryn
I really enjoy your monthly style fix e-mails. I do not always buy what you recommend but do keep your recommendations in mind when I am in the shops. I would also find it extremely interesting to view your fashion programmes. I do not live in the U.K. so don’t get to see all your fashion advice and how much it changes the participants lives. Have you ever thought of making a DVD with a collection of your shows? I have always found it so much easier to relate when I can actually see what is being written about.

By the way your answers to fashion queries along with pictures is an excellent idea.

Sue

Hi Caryn,
I want to compliment you on your terrific website. I love all of the fashion and beauty information you provide and I constantly go to your site to learn new things to improve my life… I am a 19 year old girl from Michigan and beauty and fashion, along with health and wellness, are my passions. I love sites like yours that give advice and helpful information on how we as women can stay beautiful and healthy.

Tina

A friend of mine in the UK forwarded me to your website – WOW! You sound absolutely amazing. Thanks for making women all over the world feel great about their body type. I’m tall and slender and have always had trouble finding jeans, shoes, coats – you name it! I wanted to introduce you to an American Footwear designer, Kathryn Kerrigan. She designs shoes specifically for tall women – she is a must see – she is gaining popularity here in the states so fast. Perhaps she would be a great woman to network with. I wish you continued success.

Regards, Claire

Dear Caryn,
I just wanted to thank you. I feel so comfortable in my body now. My wardrobes have had an overhaul and my local charity shops are extremely grateful to you also for your advice on having a good old clothes clear out.

I can happily go to my cupboard and find outfits that I know will suit me rather than having to put something together that is either just ironed or at the top of the pile, regardless of how I feel when wearing it. All of my clothes feel good so I know I can’t go wrong! I feel so much happier when shopping for clothes too; no more trying to adjust an outfit to make it look like it does on the models! If it doesn’t look good on me it goes back on the rack.

Thanks again for giving me back confidence in clothes and also in me.

Debbie

Dear Caryn,
Thank you very much for your answer regarding my ‘belt’ problem, I never thought of your ideas, so they are completely new to me, I am very excited to try them out! Also I have downloaded your standard and pear shape book for my mother, who was very happy to read it, we went together shopping, had great fun picking new items for ourselves it was great quality time with my mother!

Reka

Dear Caryn,

I am a 5ft 2″ 46 year old who dowloaded your ebook Ageless Style and found it invaluable for streamlining my wardrobe, making getting dressed fun again without looking like I am trying to copy my teenage nieces!

Thanks

Lyn

Thanks Caryn for this fabulous help! Having followed your advice in the book, I have to say I look so much better!

Sara

Thanks Caryn!
One of my colleagues is the same shape as me and is eager to see how I get on!

The school I work in is getting demolished this year with us all moving to a state of the art school after summer break so perfect time for me to make the change! I also work for my husband’s business and work in the bathroom showroom at the weekends so me having confidence in what I wear will surely pass on to the customers that walk through the door.

I will keep you posted with my progress!!

What I will say is though; many people have tried to change my look at fashion with no success but my time for you has definitely opened my eyes! Your down to earth, friendly approach has been refreshing and also the best thing ever!

Marianne, x

Hi Caryn
Very recently I read your e-book ‘Ageless Style’. I’m 53yrs young and have no dress style at all, I found inspiration!

Lynne

Hi,
I am 48, 5ft 2″ and filling out a bit, my job is male orientated, I am a shop fitter. I must confess I have never been a fashion junkie and hardly ever bought a women’s magazine, maybe the odd Cosmo in my younger days. Fashion has always terrified me as I haven’t got a clue. Loved going to gigs, simple to dress for. I would hate to be a teenager nowadays as the pressure these poor kids are under to look “perfect” is disgraceful.
Pressure should be put on retailers and the media to let people be who they really are.

I have never had a flat stomach in my life and yes when I was younger that was an issue with me for a long time to the point of obsession.
I recently read your e-book “Ageless Style” and loved every word. I have never felt so confident in my life. Really large sized people should loose weight but only for health purposes not just so they “fit in” with what society says we should look like. I never buy women’s mags or newspapers and never will.

Yours sincerely

Diane
