Of course you’ve seen my ‘two suits into a party dress’ dress because i have written about it before and it was all very ironic when I wore it recently!
But we are coming up to a time of new season purchases for me and I’m determined to keep abreast of them this time so that If you happen to like something I show you, then you still have time to bag it for yourself.
With that in mind I thought I’d better get this one over because it’s so last autumn! Sorry.

Anyway as I haven’t shown you it I thought I’d give it a whirl. It (the Anglomania trench pictured here just before lift off) and I looked marvellous when I attended the Golden Shears award earlier in the week at the Merchant Taylor’s Hall (yes that is correctly spelled).
I was there to judge the award, which focuses solely on tailoring. Since Alexander McQueen spent some time as an apprentice on Saville Row and his cuts are all the more assured for it, journalists if they can try to take it in.
So that was me before I left for the event illustrating the basic volume tool I explain in my body shape e-book: the more voluminous the garment, the smaller the body within.
Of course there are loads of tips on what to wear to flatter your shape as well as how to save money by avoiding the wrong clothes and picking out the right ones.
That is my rather interesting downstairs tiled hallway by the way, which couldn’t accessorise my Georgina Goodman shoes in a better light I think. Makes a change from photographing up stairs on the wood I think!
